Washington Landscapes
Despite growing up in the state just south of Washington, I didn’t visit it much. A few trips to Seattle, but that was about it. When I returned to the Pacific Northwest after 25 years away, I started to spend a lot more time in the Evergreen State, especially the eastern part of it. That area is called The Palouse, and boasts some of the richest farmland in the world, with golden wheat and neon yellow canola. The Olympic Peninsula is another treasure chest of beauty, as are the state’s coastline and Cascade mountain range.
